‘Journeyman Sneak Preview’ is a digital trailer designed to show an interactive CD-ROM adventure game currently in production.
Storyline:
The year is 2318. The unified Earth is finally at peace. But now, what took centuries to achieve could be instantly unraveled by the power of time travel. You are a member of the Temporal Protectorate, an elite group of agents whose sole purpose is to safeguard history from sabotage. It is during your usual shift at the Temporal Security Annex, when the alarms suddenly explode into a fury of sound and light; a rip has been detected in the fabric of time. Only moments remain until the continuum is changed forever. But before the game is over, you will have to discover the source of this mayhem and bring it to a halt!
Minimum System Requirements:
To run this demo you will need a color Macintosh computer with 5 megabytes of RAM and a 13” monitor. A CD-ROM drive will be required for the actual game due the hundreds of megabytes that compose ‘The Journeyman Project.’
Copying This Demo:
This demo may be copied freely. Please make sure to copy the entire folder and its files - ‘Journeyman Sneak Preview’, ‘Support Files’ and ‘Read Me’. Note: The ‘Support Files’ folder MUST be in the same folder as the ‘Journeyman Sneak Preview’ application in order for the demo to function properly!
Technical Note:
Some accelerators, such as the Radius Rocket, do not properly implement the new Apple Sound Manager calls. This demo uses the Sound Manager drivers extensively to optimize CD-ROM playback. If you do not hear audio during the slide-show portion of the demo, you will have to disable your accelerator.
